As a sailor and navigator I love this product . I bought mine well over 2 years ago.Its a lot more than a GPS . I have two chips . One for the south eastern sea-board of Australia ; and one for sailing around Victoria [where I live]. We use it whenever we travel. Its a wonderful tool to have when you are in unfamiliar waters or a bit 'lost in the city' .It may not talk to me but it is a very powerful tool that I just love using- it owes me nothing ! With a bit of practice its amazing what you can achieve with this little plotter.I bought a quality bracket that sucks onto the windscreen , a normal mount for sea-going and a 12 volt cable to save on batteries.
Even in familiar teritory it still can be very handy and reassuring - especially since it has a detailed map/chart to put us on.
