The tracking of satellites is very fast. The color on screen is good. Try not to expect details of the basemap about roads (only major roads) and the topo landmarks info is very minimal. You probably need to bail out $xx to get a Garmin (?) topo map in order to make it really useful if you are hiking into unfamiliar areas. The use of 2 AA is a very good feature, and it lasts over a day. It is light with a tough design to sustain a rough journey. The delivery from Amazon was very quick but make sure you can have someone taking the delivery at home (if that's your delivery address). Overall, the product & customer services are very good indeed but this was my first Amazon purchase experience and had no idea about what to expect. I do feel the manner of the customer services is very good when you have a problem or question. Garmin technical service is also V. good.
